Getting to Yale

By Train:

By Plane:

Airports in Conneticut include the Tweed-New Haven Airport, 4 miles from campus, and the Hartford Bradley International Airport, 53 miles from campus. Taxis to Yale University are available from both.

It is also possible to travel to Yale from airports in the New York metropolitan area. Amtrak provides a train line from Newark International Airport to New Haven Union Station. LaGuardia International Airport and Kennedy International Airport are approximately 80 miles from Yale, and can reach New Haven by MTA.

By Bus:

Greyhound bus lines run to and from New Haven Union Station. Shuttles from Union Station to main campus run every 15 minutes.

Accomodations

Conference attendees will stay at the New Haven Village Suites; we will provide shuttles to and from conference locations at Yale University and the hotel each day. Undergraduates will have one or two roommates; there will be an opportunity to request specific roommates after acceptance to the Yale CUWiP location. Otherwise, roommates will be assigned.

Meals

We will provide dinner on Friday, January 17th; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, January 18th; and breakfast and lunch on Sunday, January 19th. Additionally, coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the conference.

Upon registering for the Yale CUWiP location, conference attendees will receive an email asking about dietary restrictions. We will accomodate any dietary needs accordingly!

Travel Costs

For undergraduates attending the conference, the cost of hotel rooms and meals will be covered. We are also able to reimburse the cost of travel if necessary; however, we encourage conference attendees to ask their home institutions for support first, as many departments are willing to support travel to CUWiP. If students are being reimbursed for travel by the conference, they must submit plane and/or train tickets to us for approval ahead of time.
